DIET
Their diet consists of earthworms, flies, grasshoppers, crickets, small mice, and other amphibians. Their big appetites help keep the bug population under control.
LIFECYCLE
Following mating, females deposit egg masses in water. Clutch sizes range from 5 to 122 eggs and average about 50 eggs per mass. They can live 12-15 years.

All Tiger Salamanders are collectively referred to as mole salamanders since most of their life is spent sometimes as deep as 2 feet underground.
